Meet The Manager

Sarah Meakin is Registered Manager at Codnor Park Care Home.

I am Registered Manager of both Codnor Park Care Home and The Firs Nursing Home. I love the feeling of going home knowing that something that I have been able to do has had a massive positive impact on the people living in our home.

The residents drive my passion. I have so much love for them, seeing them smile and enjoy living at the home and being able to support people who are on end of life care, knowing that you have provided exactly what they have needed in that time. I often forget I’m at work because it feels like home. The people around are like family and I love them all dearly.

One day we will be old and I’d like to know that there is someone to fight for me the way I fight for them.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
