Meet The Manager

Aggie McDonald is general manager at Chilton Meadows Care Home.

“The team at Chilton Meadows work incredibly hard to make the residents feel safe and cared for. The staff take pride in the work they do and care very much for all our residents. We are like a big family here!”

Here at Chilton Meadows we provide both residential and nursing care including for those living with dementia. We also offer short stay respite options and end of life assistance when needed.

Description

When a new resident arrives they’ll be met by their key carer, who’ll give them a guided tour of their new home. They’ll also tell them about meal times, activities and introduce them to some of the other residents and members of staff.

When a new resident joins us, we make getting to know them and their relatives a top priority. This helps us to build a picture of how they’d like to be supported day-to-day, so we can create a personalised care plan.

The Importance Of Meal Times

Fresh, healthy food

Mealtimes are an important part of daily life in our homes. Our chefs carefully select a different menu for each day of the week, making sure our residents enjoy a variety of our home cooked dishes.

Our chefs always use fresh ingredients to prepare delicious, nutritionally-balanced meals throughout the day and night.

Activities Are So Important

There’s no typical day at Chilton Meadows, but we arrange plenty to do, both here at the home as well as out and about.

There are regular events between the four houses, such as sports day, that can be enjoyed by every resident no matter mobility.

We want to get our residents to be able to visit places outside of the home as regularly as possible and we often take them to the seaside.

Residents are encouraged to help tend to the gardens, contributing in any way they wish.
