Meet The Manager

Lesley Falquez-Dean is Home Manager at L'Hermitage.

With over 34 years of nursing experience gathered across the globe-from the UK and Malta to the Cayman Islands and the Isle of Man-I am incredibly proud to lead the team here at L'Hermitage Care Home in Jersey. My clinical foundation was built in the high-pressure world of critical care and acute nursing. While that background ensures our residents are in the safest possible hands, my heart fully lies in elderly care.

For me, this work is personal. My approach to management is rooted in the time I spent caring for my own parents. That experience taught me that 'care' isn't just a clinical tasks; it's about dignity, love, and treating every resident with the same devotion I gave my own family. I lead L'Hermitage with a simple philosophy: I provide the level of care I would want for my own family. My door is always open-please stop by for a chat!

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
