Meet The Manager

Nicole Anderson is Home Manager at Trymview Hall.

I’m an experienced nurse and care Home Manager and I joined Care UK in early 2019. I used to work in one of the organisation’s Edinburgh care homes. Care UK’s values and ethos of care chimed with my own personal approach to care, so I was keen to join this forward-thinking organisation.

Far and away the best part of my day is spending time with residents and seeing them enjoying a superb quality of life.

I’m passionate about delivering excellent care and I love working as part of our committed and skilled team here at Trymview Hall. We put residents and their families first and foremost in everything we do. We’re proud of our ‘good’ CQC rating, and I’m looking forward to supporting the team to achieve even greater things.

safe-tick Regulatory Assessment We have been assessed by the care regulator in our approach to infection control.
safe-tick Sterilisation & Disinfection Devices We are using sterilisation and/or disinfection devices within our care setting.

Safe Visiting Space
safe-tick We have a safe visiting space

All Care UK homes now have purpose-built internal or external visiting suites available which enable visits to take place from behind a sealed glass panel, using a sound system to assist with communication. Where Government guidance and local health teams allow, these suites make it possible to continue visiting even when we have a case of Covid-19 in the home.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.

Wireless Internet access (WiFi)

Yes, our care home has WiFi in all our resident’s rooms.

Mobile Phone Network Coverage (mobile “signal”)

Yes, our care home has mobile phone signal in all our resident’s rooms.

Telephone for external calling

No, our care home does not provide a telephone in residents’ rooms.

Social media provides an up to date window on the activities within a provider's setting.

With the restrictions on visiting during the pandemic, social media platforms such as these offer real insight when you are choosing a provider.

Kay Parsons
Deputy Manager

I’ve worked within the care sector for 15 years but only joined Care UK in 2021. I wanted to work for an organisation with values that echoed my own. It’s also lovely to work in beautiful surroundings too, and Trymview Hall is stunning.

I love working in a care environment because I love meeting and getting to know others and to make a difference to their day. A smile and a chat can make a big difference to a resident. I think it’s important to be passionate about the work you do. This role demands a caring, understanding and compassionate approach. Being a good listener and team player is vital too. And you always need to be keen to support and help others – colleagues, residents and family members.

Nicola Wolff-Donitz
Nicola Wolff-Donitz
Customer Relations Manager

I’m a qualified nurse, and worked as a nurse for 12 years before I moved into medical sales as a regional business manager. Care UK also has a wonderful reputation for delivering great care and for being a fantastic organisation to work for.

As a CRM it’s important to be personable, to understand people’s needs and the situation and feelings they’re going through. I want to find solutions for families and I’m passionate about delivering excellent customer service.

I love showing prospective residents and their families around Trymview Hall, getting to know them and sharing with them the amazing care and lifestyle that residents enjoy here. It’s been a challenge to learn a completely new role at my time of life, but my colleagues are all so friendly and supportive, which has made things easier. I’m looking forward to being part of the team and helping to make Trymview Hall a huge success.

Darren Nelson
Darren Nelson
Head Chef

I’ve been a chef for 18 years, and a head chef for ten of those years. Previously, I was Executive Chef for the British Royal Legion.

I’m very focused on quality – on producing the best food that I possibly can for Trymview Hall residents. Working with fresh ingredients is key. It’s been fun and challenging starting the kitchen from scratch: I’ve ordered equipment and built shelving units, but I feel a strong sense of ownership over what we’re doing here, as a result!

Older people deserve the best food and dining experience, and I’m looking forward to leading a catering team who are dedicated to ensuring that residents receive that at each and every meal in our Bristol care home.

Patricia Sanchez
Patricia Sanchez
Lifestyle Lead

Before I joined the Trymview Hall team I was an Activities Coordinator in another home. I’ve done a range of different jobs, but worked in HR for many years. However, I left my stable HR career in Spain to work in a completely different sector, in a completely different country, and in a completely different language! It was a scary but exciting move, and I’m so proud that I did it.

Working with older people is so rewarding, every day is different and brings new things to learn. My aim is always to create an activity programme that incorporates everyone’s preferences and needs. It’s wonderful to see residents happy and enjoying themselves, and doing things they love. I’m looking forward to being able to plan more outings and more ambitious activities for residents post-pandemic, so they can share different experiences together.

In my free time I like connect with nature in the outdoors, and enjoying long walks at the seaside or in the woods.

Business Administrator

I’ve been working in care homes in administration and training since 2014, and I joined the Trymview Hall team in 2019 because I’d heard good things about Care UK – it’s vision for care and the importance it places on supporting colleagues to progress their careers. I’m committed to developing my skills and I’m currently working towards an NVQ level 3 in Human Resources.

Being a Business Administrator in a care home is a role that keeps you on your toes, as there’s a lot to it. You can never know what each day will bring, and I enjoy that. It’s a privilege to meet residents and their families and to get to know them. I do what I can to ensure everyone’s happy and I always want to know if there’s anything more I can do to help residents, relatives and colleagues.
