The Importance Of Meal Times
We pride ourselves on the quality of our catering and the range of choice available to residents daily, with menus carefully designed with nutrition in mind. We promote individual wellbeing through a positive and enjoyable dining experience; every resident can eat in pleasant settings and we offer full support with eating and drinking if needed so they remain hydrated and well-nourished.
All our homes offer freshly cooked, appetising and nutritionally-balanced meals with a different seasonal choice available every day to ensure the highest level of nutrition for residents. Our professional chefs use fresh ingredients to prepare a range of delicious, wholesome meals in our kitchens, to be enjoyed throughout the day. Our care home catering teams consult with residents on a regular basis to ensure we understand their nutritional requirements and food preferences so residents can maintain a diet they enjoy.
Our expert chefs carefully plan four-weekly menu cycles, which are changed regularly, to ensure each resident enjoys a variety of delicious dishes every day of the week and promote the highest level of nutrition and hydration in our care homes.
The preferences of the residents are always taken into account, which means classic meals often feature alongside traditional regional cuisine on our menus. Our homes hold regular themed food days in addition to our normal menu to provide opportunities for the residents to be involved in the preparation of meals if they wish to do so.
In addition to the nutrition and diet of the residents, we also take into account their visitors. Our cafés allows visitors to enjoy freshly made cakes and biscuits alongside their family or friends, to help them feel relaxed during their visit.
Banstead Manor has a vibrant atmosphere designed to help residents get the most out of life, and we’ll be there to support them. We are active members in the local community, proud members of the Banstead Rotary Club and have a packed activities calendar to suit all tastes and abilities. From Tai Chi and exercise classes for keeping active to flower arranging, painting and music sessions to keep the creative juices flowing, there is lots on offer for residents to get involved with at our care home in Banstead and activities are tailored to meet individual needs.
Before coming to live at Banstead Manor Care Home, every resident completes ‘About Me’, a booklet that gives us great insight into their history, hobbies, likes and dislikes. For our care team, this is an important first step to building a strong, supportive relationship, essential to delivering bespoke, high-quality relationship-centred care. It also helps us plan the sorts of activities that will make living at Banstead Manor more interesting and enjoyable. We work with families to ensure that their loved one is settled and happy and understand that our relationship with every resident, their family, and friends is central to delivering the best possible care.
