Meet The Manager
Alena Petrie is Manager at Cambridge Court Care Home.
I'm Alena, and I have worked in the care sector for over 21 years. I joined Cambridge Court in 2019 as a Care Assistant before progressing into management and completing my NVQ Level 7 in Strategic Management.
I have a genuine passion for caring for older people and am motivated by making a positive difference to their lives. I believe everyone in our home should feel valued, respected and supported to live life in the way that is right for them.
As manager, I am proud to lead a dedicated and compassionate team, encouraging staff to achieve the best outcomes while creating a warm & welcoming environment.
We value the involvement of families and friends and encourage open communication, feedback and ideas from residents, relatives and staff. Together, we provide truly person-centred care and help every resident feel at home.
Outside work, I enjoy travelling and spending time in my garden. I look forward to welcoming you to Cambridge Court

Welcome to Cambridge Court Care Home, a warm and welcoming home overlooking Potters Barn park in Waterloo providing compassionate residential and nursing care, residential dementia and nursing dementia care.
With 53 bedrooms, Cambridge Court offers residents a comfortable place to call home, where they can feel safe, valued, and respected. Our dedicated team takes the time to get to know every resident as an individual, understanding their preferences, routines, interests, and life experiences.
We believe that moving into a care home should not mean giving up the things that make life meaningful. Instead, it can be the beginning of a new chapter, with opportunities to enjoy companionship, maintain independence and discover new interests.
Residential, Nursing and Dementia Care
At Cambridge Court, our person-centred approach puts each resident's dignity, wellbeing, and independence at the heart of everything we do.
We provide general residential care for those needing support with everyday living, alongside general nursing care for residents requiring additional professional support. We also offer residential dementia care and nursing dementia care, providing compassionate support in a reassuring environment.
Our team works closely with residents, their families and healthcare professionals to ensure care is tailored to each person's individual needs and wishes.

Life at Cambridge Court is about much more than daily routines. Our activities programme encourages mental stimulation, physical wellbeing, creativity, and social connection, with activities such as arts and crafts, gentle exercise, quizzes, games, music, and entertainment.
We recognise that everyone is different, so residents are encouraged to take part in activities they enjoy, at their own pace.
Food, Friendship and Wellbeing
Our catering team provides a variety of nutritious and enjoyable meals, including traditional favourites and dishes residents know and love.
Individual dietary requirements and personal preferences are considered, while mealtimes provide opportunities to enjoy good food and the company of others.

Cambridge Court is conveniently located in Waterloo, close to local shops, cafés, and amenities. The home is also near Crosby Coastal Park and Crosby Beach, with the beautiful Merseyside coastline close by.
