Mary Crossley is General Manager at Rowan Garth Care Home.
Not far from Liverpool city centre, amidst the beautiful scenery of the peaceful community of Anfield, Rowan Garth is a purpose-built residential nursing home offering a range of both long and short-term residency options.
Our Christian values underpin everything we do in our person-centred approach to healthcare, in which we create custom care plans tailored to each client’s individual needs and wants. We like to see your new residency as the start of an exciting new chapter, and as such, we believe that all care should be designed around a broader family and friends-informed plan, and focused on improving not just longevity of life, but quality of life. We all have a gift to share with the world, and that gift is who we are. So we invite you to live here as an expression of your true self, so that you can continue to live with dignity, integrity and the level of independence you need.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications |

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant. Activities Are So Important |
---|
Here at Rowan Garth, we like to have fun and keep things interesting. This is why we run our weekly programmes of events that range from talks and demonstrations from locals willing to share their time with us, to excursions and day trips. Local performers regularly come in to provide us all with entertainment in the form of songs, sketches, and dance, and sometimes we just have local volunteers drop by for a cup of tea. We see Rowan Garth as an essential part of the local community, and preserving these connections is central to ensuring that we run a thriving lively home. But simple daily pleasures such as a walk in the gardens, feeding the birds or even a spot of gardening or cooking are just as important to maintaining a healthy state of both mental and physical health. We understand that no two residents are the same, and that’s why we run personalised activity programmes alongside our regular activities schedule. We want you to keep up with your hobbies and interests because these are the things that make you, you, and we’re sure that we can find some way to accommodate your daily routine and interests. But as much as we like to have fun and keep our residents entertained, we also understand that often there’s nothing we want more than a little time by ourselves, and we respect the value of these moments that are often as joyful as many others. |
