Meet The Manager

Michelle Harwood is General Manager at Anning House.

I trained and qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse but have a lot of experience of working in older people’s care.

I think someone in my role should be passionate about delivering great care, and about understanding each resident’s needs, as well as those of the home team. That way you can ensure harmony in the home. A strong and supportive management team is a must too. One of my favourite parts of the day is when I have the chance to chat to the residents as well as the team.

I’m very proud of the team we have here at Anning House, and I’m looking forward to working with them to find new ways to enhance the care we provide.

Working here is not just a job for me. Being able to help residents transition from home or hospital into a care home environment and into the next phase of their life is a huge responsibility and extremely rewarding. I have been working here since September 2015 and I love being able to bring the home to more families.
