![]() Nirmala RattuHome ManagerThe team and I consider it a huge privilege to care for older people and are proud that their families trust us to care for them. ![]() Kay MayesCustomer Relations ManagerI have qualifications in management as well as counselling, prior to joining the Brook Court team I spent a couple of years working for a Birmingham charity that provided rehabilitation services for people with brain injuries. I thought the job at Brook Court fitted well with my experience in health and social care. I love working in a big team where everyone plays a part in making a difference in residents’ lives. I’ve not worked in care homes before, so there’s plenty to learn, but I’m enjoying every minute. I’m particularly enjoying getting to know the residents and their families and helping them in any way I can. ![]() Sue MeolaLifestyle LeadThe thing I enjoy most about providing activity based care at Brook Court care home is putting a smile on the faces of residents who live here. It is so important to me to make a difference and make their day a happy one, by delivering a varied programme of activities. I am a caring person, with a jolly personality. I think it helps to be flexible in this role too and be able to adapt activities to individual residents, depending on their needs and abilities. I get other members of the team involved where possible, which makes it a fun experience and creates a wonderful atmosphere in the home. ![]() Tracey GwinHead HousekeeperThis is a great home to work in, everyone is friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is wonderful. I really enjoy cleaning the residents’ rooms, it’s a chance to get to know them properly and how they like things done. They know where they want things to go, and it’s up to our team to learn this. It’s my job to model the high standards I expect from my team. In my free time I like to bake (I’m a qualified chef), gardening, and to be around my family, especially when my grandsons are around. |
