Meet The Manager

Tilla Wagner is Home Manager at Blandford Grange Care Home.

Year started working at Healthcare Homes 2018

Why did you decide to work at Healthcare Home? I was looking for a new challenge and while I was waiting for my interview, I saw in the reception area, ‘Caring is at the heart of everything we do’.  The way staff members in the home dealt with visitors while I was waiting reflected this was not just a saying on the wall.

What’s your favourite part of your working day and why? Walking in through the door every morning, knowing that the day will be totally different from the day before. It's great to reflect at the end of each day knowing you have played a part in keeping the wheels turning in the home to keep our residents and staff happy and safe.

What’s been your biggest professional challenge in your current role, or in your career to date? Knowing that Rome was not built in a day!

We recognise that every person is different, so we create tailored care plans for each and every resident.

We work closely to identify the best care to suit your needs and the most appropriate setting in which this should be delivered.

We involve families and friends in the creation of each plan using the ‘care passports’ and life history records, so that each person receives the most beneficial care and support, taking into account their health and wellbeing, aspirations, wants, likes and dislikes.

We believe that our dedication to delivering the most individualised, personal care to all our residents is what makes us stand out, and ensures our residents enjoy living their lives to their fullest potential.
