Samantha Atkin is Home Manager at Beverley Parklands.
I have worked in the healthcare sector for 20 years, six of those in management roles. Along the way, I’ve achieved my Level 3 in Health and Social Care, my Care Practitioner Award, and a diploma in accounting. I’m currently completing my Level 5 Leader in Adult Care qualification. Before becoming Home Manager, I worked as a Care Practitioner and Deputy Manager, experiences that gave me a strong foundation for the role I hold today.
The highlight of my day is always time spent with residents, listening to their life stories and favourite memories. Supporting them to achieve their goals is especially rewarding. I’m proud to lead the team here at Beverley Parklands, where we work together to create a true sense of family and belonging.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my young daughter and reading.

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
