Autumna has invited care providers to evidence the infection control measures they are carrying out, above and beyond those laid out by the government, in order to keep residents, staff and visitors safe.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

Covid-19 has changed much in the world, but at Belong, our values remain the same - with residents at the heart of everything we do. This means you can move in with peace of mind that you will find a warm welcome and soon experience a sense of belonging with us. Regular testing and robust infection prevention and control measures are in place to protect the entire community, including residents, relatives and colleagues. If you are moving to a Belong village, you will NOT normally need to isolate on moving in.

Infection Control Initiatives in place
safe-tick Virus Testing We are testing for viral infection when symptoms present within our care setting.
Safe Visiting Space
safe-tick We have a safe visiting space

Infection control measures are in place and we encourage everyone to be mindful of the safety of others and sensitive to the vulnerability of our resident group.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.

Lorraine Johns
Lorraine Johns
Front of House Manager

Lorraine's career began in high-end fashion however, following a recommendation from a friend, she took the step from retail to care and has never regretted it. She has over ten years’ experience of working within a variety of roles within a busy nursing home. After gaining experience as a head housekeeper, she was promoted to home services manager and then became actively involved in working on new build care homes from the ground to completion. Lorraine joined Belong in 2019, initially as Front of House Manager for Belong's new village which is under construction at Birkdale, however due to delays she is currently based at Belong Morris Feinmann until the village opens in 2022. As Front of House Manager, she believes a happy, helpful approach is important and will always go the extra mile to ensure that she can help.
