Larissa Goddard is Manager at Beechville.
Beechville provides residential, dementia and short-stay care for up to 43 residents in a peaceful, purpose-designed home in Bolton, Greater Manchester.
Once a Quaker home, Beechville has a long legacy of care and community. Today, it offers a safe, comfortable setting with en-suite bedrooms, cosy lounges, and a vibrant central coffee shop where residents, families and staff come together throughout the day.
Outdoors, the landscaped gardens include a courtyard with mature trees, bird feeders, raised beds, and a summer house gifted by a resident’s family. The space is used year-round for gardening, relaxing, and events such as barbecues and seasonal celebrations.
Meals are freshly prepared by an experienced head chef who also trains other MHA cooks. Menus are shaped by resident input and include hearty favourites, afternoon teas, and fun events like Sandwich Week. Families can book the coffee bar for private gatherings.
Life at Beechville includes music therapy, baking competitions, bingo, crafts, fitness sessions, and special visits—from llamas and opera singers to schoolchildren and scout groups. Regular trips and a full calendar keep the home lively and inclusive.
At Beechville, care isn’t just about support, it’s about creating a community where residents thrive. Whether you’re searching for yourself or a loved one, for residential, dementia or short-stay care, the team at Beechville are here to help.

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
