Hello, my name is Hanna Anderson and I am the Home Manager at Ashwood. I have worked in the care industry for over 10 years and worked in Domiciliary care and for the NHS before joining the Ashwood family. I have worked at Ashwood for over 6 years in various roles and I am so proud to work here.
Our residents are the heart and soul of everything we do here at Ashwood, and we are passionate about providing high quality care and support every day. Thank you for taking time to consider us, please feel free to drop in and meet the team.
Ashwood is a beautiful, modern, bungalow-style residential care home in Ware, Hertfordshire, with capacity for up to 64 residents. This light and spacious Ware care home provides expert care for older people, including those living with dementia.
We strive to create a homely environment for our residents at Ashwood care home and we provide all the comforts of good food, good company and friendly staff, in a calm and restful atmosphere.
Bedrooms are beautifully furnished, some with en-suite toilet facilities and Ashwood also benefits from excellent amenities, including comfortable lounges in which residents can socialise, take part in activities and relax. In addition, we have a dedicated area for dementia care, designed to enable those we care for to maintain their independence in a safe environment.
Our activity programme ensures that residents remain stimulated and engaged and our activity coordinators take into account resident’s hobbies, needs and interests. The activities at Ashwood are varied and alongside enjoying themselves, residents can receive a wide range of health and fitness benefits from taking part. Those who enjoy the outdoors are able to do so at Ashwood, as the enclosed garden allows residents to sit, relax, take short walks and assist with gardening.
