Jo Bray is Care Home Manager at The Russets.
Jo joined the St Monica Trust family in September 2015 as a Registered Nurse (RN), and she later progressed to Lead RN, Deputy Care Home Manager and since October 2019 as Registered Care Home Manager. This progression through the roles informs every part of the job as she has a good understanding of the daily challenges that colleagues face; whether they are a carer, in housekeeping or they are hospitality colleagues.
Prior to becoming an RN, she worked in many sectors with very different roles. She was a soldier with the Royal Signals, a Force Operations Room Supervisor for Wiltshire police, and a care support worker to name a few. She likes to feel that she is helping to make positive changes for others. It was when she experienced some ill-health that she knew nursing was her true vocation.
Based in the stunning countryside of Sandford, North Somerset, our Russets and Sherwood care home won multiple awards for its unique design when opening in 2010. Since then we've provided care for hundreds for residents and their families, with a focus on enhancing residents' quality of life through personalised care and meaningful activities.

Where these placements are fully occupied, a third-party top-up may be requested to secure a placement until a local authority-funded bed becomes available.
