Description |

We encourage our residents to furnish their rooms as they wish. This could be as simple as hanging a couple of their favourite pictures on the wall, but they’re also welcome to bring their own comfy chair, or anything that makes them feel at home. The most important thing is for everyone to feel comfortable, happy and settled. All our bedrooms have an en suite toilet and sink and some rooms enjoy lovely garden views. We have a call system that can be operated by a hand control or a pendant depending on personal preference. All floors are secured by keypad coding to ensure that residents are safe and secure at all times. |

Activities Are So Important |
---|
We have a schedule of optional events and activities, helping residents to explore their interests and discover new ones. There are armchair exercises, flower arranging, arts and crafts, bingo, quizzes and church services. We have a dedicated chaplain and often invite local singers and musicians to perform for residents. We especially look forward to the regular visits from the local nursery and pre-school. With regular pet visits, and our chick incubators in spring, there’s never a dull moment at Rushden Park. Our approach to care is a truly holistic one, always intending to nurture your loved one’s mind, body and spirit. This comes as part of our promise to you and our residents, to help them genuinely live a better, more fulfilled life. It’s about respecting their individual needs, listening and understanding, and presenting them with opportunities and daily activities to keep their minds and bodies active. Whether they flourish in a lively group activity or prefer to recharge in the peaceful surroundings of one of our quiet spaces, our home is brimming with inspiration and potential. We support everybody’s individual choices, interests and hobbies and our passionate Activity Coordinators love keeping residents active and entertained. They provide a fun-packed and stimulating schedule for people to participate in as they choose. There are arts and crafts, gardening, bingo, external entertainers and church services, just to mention a few of the things we get up to. We also provide regular gentle exercise sessions and have close links with GP surgeries, district nurses and dentists. Our in-house hair salon keeps everyone looking their best and weekly visits from a local nursery keep us all young at heart. We’re committed to helping residents make the most of every single day. Seize The Day is our unique initiative to support residents to fulfill their ambitions and make their dreams come true. Whether it be a ride on ‘The Big One’ at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, a trip in a fire engine, or a visit to the swimming pool; we will move mountains to make it happen. Seize the Day is funded by charitable donations and is available to all residents. |
