Meet The Manager

Kim Horton is Manager at Nynehead Court.

Kim's journey at Nynehead Court is truly inspiring. Starting at just sixteen in the pantry, she steadily worked her way up through dedication and continuous learning. Completing her NVQs in Health and Social Care, she progressed from a carer to a senior role, then head of Mulberry Wing, and eventually head of care. Her deep understanding of the home and commitment to high-quality care made her the perfect choice to step into the manager role in April 2025.
Her story reflects the values of Nynehead Court—nurturing talent, fostering growth, and ensuring residents receive the best possible care.

In addition to the costs of accommodation, meals and care, the fees also include aperitifs before dinner and wine with meals; ; activities; hobbies; escorted trips out for shopping, appointments, pub lunches and cream teas (these may incur additional costs); use of the minibus, cars and buggies; and daily newspapers and journals in the drawing room.

Nynehead Care enjoys excellent links with the local community and the residents benefit from the outside company and varied activities which are held within the grounds of the Court, as well as the participation in daily routine with the owners of the mews houses. The Friends of Nynehead Court are particularly active and take great interest in bringing outside interest to the Court, as well as hosting regular drinks parties and social functions.

The 13th Century Parish Church adjoins the grounds of the Court and is used for regular services. One regular Sunday service is held in the drawing room of the Court each month, when the Parish community come into the Court.

Local groups and the Friends of Nynehead Court make use of the Orangery for public events, to which the residents of the Court are invited and where new interests are encouraged and new acquaintances made. An annual fete is also held in the grounds and regular tours and demonstrations are held in the gardens, all of which are enjoyed by the residents and bring even more variety to the Court.
