Trudi Gillespie is General Manager at Mount Vale.
I started working in the care industry in 2000 and it is the best job in the world! I started my career as a Care Assistant, before being promoted to Deputy Manager at our sister home, Springvale Court and progressing to General Manager at Appletree. In 2024 joined the team at Mount Vale.
My qualifications include an NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Health & Social Care, Working with Dementia Level 3 and End of Life Care Level 3. I strive to deliver the highest possible care to meet the needs and wishes of everyone I support.
I look forward to welcoming you to our home.
Here at Mount Vale, we provide high quality 24-hour nursing care and residential support, alongside expert care for those living in our dedicated Memory Lane Community. We are proud to be one of the first homes to be accredited as part of Barchester’s 10-60-06 Dementia Care programme, reflecting the enhanced quality of dementia care and improved quality of life experienced by those we support. We also offer respite care and short breaks, which can be pre-booked up to a year in advance.
A beautifully restored, former maternity hospital, Mount Vale is located in the scenic Northallerton. It has easy access to both the North Yorkshire Dales, Cleveland and the historic city of York. Our home is also situated close to Thirsk, Ripon, Yarm, Stokesley, Richmond and Bedale, so is well placed for visiting friends and family, who are always welcome.
We believe that you will find we are ideally suited to meet your needs, so why not call in for a cup of tea or coffee and see for yourself? We look forward to seeing you soon.

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant. | Activities Are So Important |
|---|
|
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from PAT dogs, entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can. |
