Meet The Manager

Daney Thomas is General Manager at Moreton Hill Care Centre.

I am a registered general nurse with over 22 years of experience. I started working in management in 2016 and, prior to that, I had various positions in other residential, nursing and dementia care homes.

I pride myself on my ability to listen, be compassionate and deliver person-centred care. I have achieved an NVQ Level 5 in Care & Leadership, and have previous experience in turning homes with low CQC ratings around.

I am a firm, fair and friendly person, who always likes to move forward. I am a strong believer in family and, in my spare time, my two boys keep me busy. I do enjoy travelling and baking as well. Before coming to this country, I worked on my parents' farm and helped them to run the family business.

Activities Are So Important

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies.
