Anitha Jisson is Manager at Market Lavington Care Home.
As a Home Manager, Anitha has many years’ experience in providing care and support for older people to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest possible standards in care and quality of life for residents.
When asked what is her favourite thing about being a Home manager, she remarked;“ My favourite thing about being a Home Manager is Being able to make a difference in the lives of both our residents and staff. I love creating a safe, supportive and welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and cared for. I also really enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience and nurturing the staff to grow in confidence and develop their own skills. supporting the team to reach their potential is just rewarding as caring for our residents."
Located in the village of Market Lavington in the heart of Wiltshire, Market Lavington is a friendly care home with 79 beds, that offers residential, nursing and dementia care.
In summer 2022, Market Lavington benefitted from a significant investment and refurbishment programme which has created a modernised living environment, designed to enhance the quality of life for our Residents. This includes full redecoration to lounges and dining rooms as well as the creation of a secure garden with raised planters for Resident activities.

The carers and Residents at Market Lavington enjoy playing an important part in their local community. The home encourages an atmosphere of fun and inclusion and runs a weekly programme of events, which includes talks and demonstrations from local people willing to share their knowledge and talents. Performers from the area regularly visit and entertain Residents with songs, sketches, singing and dancing, and members of neighbourhood groups, volunteers and other locals often drop in for a cup of tea and a chat. Assisted by suggestions from our Residents, our home’s Wellbeing Coordinators organise a varied year round programme of things to do. Many Residents take pleasure in hobbies, including baking, writing, gardening, dancing, painting, quizzes, and playing chess. Some enjoy being a member of the Residents’ forum. |
