Wayne Hughes is General Manager at Magnolia Court.
I have been working in the care industry for over 30 years. I started working in the industry whilst at University and developed a genuine passion for making a difference to the lives of people who needed our support.
Over the years, I have worked in a number of roles and I have had the absolute pleasure of working for Barchester Healthcare for the last 10 years.
Working with the very best in the sector has given me the tools to ensure that I can continue my passion in making a difference and ensuring that our residents are treated with respect and dignity. Promoting and understanding the person centred care needs of every resident in Magnolia Court is second to none to ensure that are residents live happy and healthy lives and I will work with the team to ensure this is in place. Feel free to come in and speak with me at any time.
Magnolia Court is a purpose-built home in Golders Green, close to local amenities. We provide high quality 24-hour nursing care for older people and we have a specialist Memory Lane suite which offers care for people living with a dementia. We also offer respite care.
There are attractive single rooms and quiet lounge areas where residents can entertain their families and guests. We have an extensive activity programme and social calendar and we aim to provide an environment as near to a 'home-from-home' environment as possible.

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
