Meet The Manager

Daniel Grab is Home Manager at Knebworth Care Home.

I joined Care UK in 2022 as a Deputy Manager after hearing amazing feedback from the public.

Being promoted to Home Manager in 2023 was a huge moment in my career. I’m a Registered Nurse and have achieved my level 5 in Management in Health and Social Care training.

As a Home Manager, it’s important to be professional, compassionate, hardworking and a team player. I love getting to the end of my shift, when I can reflect on the day and all the tasks I accomplished. Working alongside amazing team members who are dedicated to delivering outstanding care to residents every day inspires me.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending quality time with family.

Daniel Grab

safe-tick We have a safe visiting space

All Care UK homes now have purpose-built internal or external visiting suites available which enable visits to take place from behind a sealed glass panel, using a sound system to assist with communication. Where Government guidance and local health teams allow, these suites make it possible to continue visiting even when we have a case of Covid-19 in the home.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.

Activities Are So Important

At Knebworth we encourage residents to mix socially, but we also understand that some residents prefer one-to-one time with their favourite carer or member of the team. Everything we do is decided by residents and we like to keep things spontaneous. We’ll alter planned activities if people are in the mood to do something else. We’ll also make the most of a nice day by enjoying our lovely garden – whatever residents are keen to do. Our dedicated Lifestyle teams organises activities, entertainment, outings and experiences tailored to your loved one’s interests and hobbies. We also understand that group activities aren’t for everyone so we will spend one to one time with your loved one if that's what they'd prefer.
