Meet The Manager

Lucy Deighton is Registered Manager at Alcedo Care Southport.

My name is Lucy and I am the Registered Care Manager. I have over 9 years’ experience within the Health and Social Care Sector starting as a home carer myself. My career in Healthcare started off in College, studying a Health and Social Diploma and working for a local home care agency within Southport. Once completing my Diploma, I then studied at the University of Central Lancashire where I successfully graduated from University with a Health and Social Care Degree. Throughout my career, I have always challenged myself to find ways to support and enable those in my care provision to receive the best possible care and support, by working with social services, district nurses, and all other multi-disciplinary healthcare teams and of course, my team of staff by ensuring they are well trained, organised and professional. My role is to ensure all clients’ needs are met every day to the highest possible level.

Kerry Irwin
Field Care Supervisor

Hi my name is Kerry I am 45 years old. I have two daughters and four grandchildren who I adore very much. I have worked within the care sector for 29 years. I have worked in all aspects of care but my favourite was learning difficulties and challenging behaviour when I worked for the NHS.

Throughout my career, I have worked very hard and finally gained my Level 5 in Health and Social Care. I was a manager in a local care home before commencing employment at Alcedo Care, but due to family circumstances I had to take a step back and concentrate on family.
