Activities Are So Important

A varied weekly programme is run by our own Activities Organisers. These include fun and relaxing activities such as group exercise sessions, knitting club, quizzes, crosswords, musical entertainers, drama groups, local choirs, horticultural therapy, aromatherapy, arts and crafts, pets as therapy and visits by local sixth form students and volunteers.

We actively encourage links with the local community and the involvement of various age groups in the Home’s activities. Weekly visits by the hairdresser and regular visits by a chiropodist and other specialist services are arranged, as are the delivery of daily newspapers and monthly visits by the mobile library service. The local clergy visit regularly and a monthly communion service is held. All religions are welcome and arrangements can be made for those wishing to attend religious services locally.
