Whether you require specialised dementia care or simply a short term of respite, our highly trained staff will ensure that your loved one is treated with dignity, respect and 24-hour personalised care. The complex nature of dementia often requires an individual approach to care – something in which that highly trained staff have great experience.

At Amica Care, we ensure that our residents with dementia receive both the physical and mental support that they need. With regular entertainment and participatory activities, we strive to provide a stimulating and engaging atmosphere that will enhance the daily well-being of our residents. With regular socialisation in our two separate lounges or cinema room, your loved one will have the opportunity to interact with our other residents and build fulfilling relationships.

Activities Are So Important

Keeping busy stimulates the brains of people living in a care home whilst boosting a sense of usefulness and accomplishment.  For this reason, we initiate satisfying activities both inside and outside the home.

How you live your life on a daily basis is important to us, so we plan lifestyle activities in the home around you. From the arts to well-being, we aim to keep both mind and body active.  We have forged strong community links with the local churches and schools, who spend time engaging with our residents.  In addition, a host of artists, musicians and local craft experts contribute to the social calendar and cover a wide range of interests. We also have events outside the home to ensure our residents sample the best of Bromsgrove.

Our beautiful landscaped gardens also help to provide interest and exercise and many of our residents enjoy working alongside the team, as well as with their friends and families, to create something beautiful in the garden, which helps to retain a level of independence and a sense of achievement by remaining useful.

When able to residents that would like to attend Methodist Church opposite the home on a Sunday, a couple of our residents that are catholic also have holy communion at the home (not at the moment). We have church services via zoom at the moment until the church opens again for services.

Of course, some of our residents prefer more personal activities on a one to one basis with their carers and our Activities team and we undertake these regularly.
