Tania Preston
Tania Preston
Receptionist

Tania joined the the Headingley Hall team after relocating from Essex where she had lived for 23 years.

During her time in Essex she worked as a secretary/P.A. for several years and then after having her son, she started doing Reception work in a hotel to fit around his care, and really enjoyed it.After about four years in this role she moved to become a Receptionist/Administrator in a secondary school. She remained in this role for 15 years so gained lots of experience as the work was very varied and very unpredictable!

Whilst working in a care home environment is a new experience for Tania she finds it really enjoyable as she gets to meet lots of different people and each day brings something different. She also says it is very nice to be able to have a little chat with our lovely residents throughout the day.

Outside of work Tania loves walking and reading and spending time with family and friends.

As Peter, Managing Director of Westward Care has passionately narrated “Tackling the challenges of an ageing society will be made easier if we change the negative language used about older people.” Part of this is to enable everyone to live a full, engaged and active life."
