Residents can enjoy a full entertainment and activities programme, including outings to theatres, parks and gardens, weekly coffee mornings, afternoon cream teas and birthday celebrations, not to mention regular hairdressing and beauty treatments.

Our residential care homes give you both the space and independence to be yourself as well as all the care and support you need to maintain a full and rich life.

In addition we also provide Specialised Dementia Care in Shire Oak House based at Headingley Hall. With 11 bedrooms available and a separate kitchen and lounge the space has been decorated to create a sense of calm - a home from home.

Based on an established dementia support approach of building a ‘household’ Shire Oak House is about creating an environment that helps grow relationships and a sense of home. Our offer is about putting the person at the heart of how we support them. The small environment means when people move to Shire Oak House life can continue on their own terms – we fit around their routine, their likes and dislikes and aim to make the move to more supported living feel as natural as possible.
