Jodie Hemmings is Manager at Furze Hill House.
Jodie is passionate about the work she does and brings over 35 years of experience in social care, having progressed from a care assistant to care home management, where she has spent the last 20 years developing and leading teams.
Outside of work she's a proud mum to two grown-up daughters and a grandmother to seven wonderful grandchildren.
She enjoys spending time outdoors, especially walking her dogs, and has a real love for nature. Jodie also enjoys singing, and dancing and – some might say – she has a bit of a passion for cars and motorcycles!

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant. At Furze Hill House we have an active social life in which residents can take part or follow their own pursuits. Planned together with residents and our dedicated volunteers, a program of in-house and external activities, led by our Activities Leader, takes place every month. Our activities include singing, flower arranging, armchair exercises, coffee mornings, crafts, and lots more. We have other communal areas where various activities take place, and we can take the activity to a person’s room as needed. Opportunities to join in activities at the on-site resource center are encouraged. |
