Eversfield House was purchased in 1946 by SCEPHA and the Home was generously provided for when it was established, which enables us to offer accommodation, at very competitive rates. The Charity has a programme of continual investment in providing well equipped facilities for our residents.

The aim of the Home is to provide a warm friendly atmosphere with standards of comfort and care, allowing each resident their independence, dignity and privacy as could reasonably be expected in their own home. We offer 24 single en- suite rooms for residential care. Respite care is also available. The Home is situated close to Sutton town centre, churches, Sutton railway station, shops and other local amenities.

The Home operates an open visiting policy, where residents, relatives and friends are always made to feel welcome and may visit at mutually convenient times. We have comfortable homely lounges where residents and visitors can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a chat.

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.

Activities Are So Important

Our Activities Co-ordinator at Eversfield House provides a varied activities programme which is both individual as well as group activities. We have reminiscence sessions, Art & Crafts, quizzes, musicians, yoga, exercise classes and pet therapy which has proved very popular.

Outings are also planned with short trips to the garden centre and to the local pub and restaurants to enjoy a lunch as well as longer trips to the seaside and London attractions.

The Home adopts a personalised approach to planning activities that are both meaningful and stimulating. As for residents who do not wish to partake in group activities, they can simply choose to unwind in their own rooms making use of televisions and their telephones or enjoy individual activities with staff.
