Meet The Manager
Maryellen Ellison is Manager at Woodview Care Centre.
I’m a registered adult nurse and qualified back in March 2012. I also hold a Level 5 Management qualification. I’ve spent the last 13 years working in care homes in a variety of roles including Nurse, Clinical Lead Nurse, Deputy Manager, and now Manager. Woodview is my third management position, and I took on the role in June 2025. By June 2026, I’ll have been here a full year, supporting both our residents and our wonderful team.
My particular areas of interest are dementia care, wound care, and end-of-life support. These are areas I’m genuinely passionate about, and I always aim to bring that passion into the way we care for our residents.
On a personal note, I’d describe myself as open, honest, and hardworking. I believe in creating a warm, supportive environment for residents, families, and staff alike. I’m always happy to chat, answer questions, or help in any way I can.
Nestled within the village of Branston, on the fringes of Lincoln, you will find Woodview Care Home, where we provide residential, dementia & respite care for our residents in a warm, welcoming environment. Our team is committed to creating a home where we work with our residents to ensure the best quality of life possible.
Our aim is to provide the highest quality care for our residents and give them an environment they are proud to call home. We aid and provide 24hr care for a broad range of patients, from personalized residential or dementia care to personal disabilities across all ages, to ensure that they feel comfortable, happy and safe, all while respecting their dignity, agency and independence.
