Conveniently placed in a residential area on the outskirts of Huddersfield, The Oakes is a friendly, purpose-built care home with 60 beds, offering residential and residential dementia care.

The Oakes’s Home Manager will make sure that all Residents receive the kindest possible care. Our Home Manager’s extensively trained team deliver all the care and specialist support services that your loved one could require. Personalised care plans consider not only medical, personal and dietary needs, but also the individual’s likes and dislikes, religious preferences, and any suggestions from family members that might make their stay with us that little bit more enjoyable.

Superbly positioned for all local amenities, this lovely home offers Residents several places to relax, dine, exercise, socialise and be creative, including a hairdressing salon. Many rooms have lovely views of the garden. The secure and landscaped gardens, tended to by some of our Residents, offer a haven for Residents and their friends and families. The home’s beautiful sun lounge can be enjoyed by Residents all year around.

The carers and Residents at The Oakes enjoy playing an important part in their local community. The home encourages an atmosphere of fun and inclusion and runs a weekly programme of events, which includes talks and demonstrations from local people willing to share their knowledge and talents. Performers from the area regularly visit and entertain Residents with songs, sketches, singing and dancing, and members of neighbourhood groups, volunteers and other locals often drop in for a cup of tea and a chat.
