What made you go into care?

I really enjoy talking with people and listening to what stories people have to tell! As well as caring, you meet so many people from all walks of life; it’s a learning experience!

What do you love about your job?

This is a very rewarding job, you build new relationships and as a carer, you are an important part of someone's life and can be a very big support in them meeting their personal goals and becoming more independent.

Senior Carer

Why do you love your job?

Live-in care is my passion, I love to help people who are in need. I love this job because supporting people in an environment they’re familiar with enables me to spend more time with the service user, meaning more meaningful and worthwhile relationships can be built.

What’s your approach to caring?

I believe taking a holistic approach to every individual is what makes a good carer. Using a holistic approach enhances the carer's ability to apply person-centered care.  Person-centered care is, of course, the best approach as every individual is able to feel that their needs are met and are respected.

What made you join the care sector?

I’m a caring person,  a people’s person.  And I knew I would do so well helping and supporting those that are unable to do so themselves.

What do you love about your job?

I love that the job permits me to make a difference in people’s lives.  Interestingly, there’s no single day that’s the same.  You have to think on your feet, but the rewards outweigh the challenges by far.  You go to bed knowing you’ve supported, cared for and ensured someone is comfortable.  What a beautiful feeling!

What do you love about your job?

I love my job because I love being on the front line of care. Supporting clients is hugely rewarding as I can see the outcomes of my work and the difference it makes to client’s well-being.

What’s your approach to caring?

It takes courage to work with clients through the person-centered approach, but it’s essential in order to achieve the highest quality of care, to communicate effectively and build meaningful relationships. Above all else, competence and commitment make a difference when improving a client’s well-being every day.

What made you go into care?

I have a caring personality and I am genuinely concerned about the wellbeing of others. Care allows me to meet new people and build relationships. I like making a difference to someone's life and helping/supporting people to maintain their independence is an extremely rewarding experience for me.

What do you love about the job?

What i love most about my job is this amazing feeling i get knowing I've made a huge difference in someone's life, whether that be assisting with personal care, companionship, preparing a meal or housekeeping. I love helping people live, look and feel happier.

What made you join the care sector?

I joined The No.1 Care Agency while l was studying Admin and IT and at the same time looking for a part-time job to gain hand on experience.
I was extremely delighted when l got the post as Care Administrator. Since then, l had the opportunity to meet different people from all walks of life. I was able to develop so quickly with the help of my manager. My job role has recently changed to Care Supervisor.

Assistant Administrator

What made you join the care sector?

I have always been a caring and empathetic person. I noticed first-hand caring for my own mother how much is involved in being a carer.
