Our Building and Facilities

We bought The Hollies in 1989 and converted it from an eight bedded home to 18 beds.

It is now only with the purchase of the adjoining property that we have been able to realise our ambition, which is of one large, 40 bedded home, which meets all of the National Care Standards and includes a coffee shop, residents shop, hair dressing salon and clinical rooms. The majority of rooms all have an ensuite and are decorated in modern decor. All rooms can be personalised to suit residents requirements and we encourage personal belongings such as photos and pictures to be brought in

All our staff are employed under a rigorous process which enables us to find the best candidates for the job. All our care staff have, or at least are working towards a QCF (formerly NVQ) Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care.

Our staff only work at The Hollies and we use no agencies so residents always have familiar faces to care for them. Most of our staff have been here for many many years and are more like family.

Activities Are So Important

We have lots going on at The Hollies, our activities coordinator works three times a week, we have our own on site hair dressers and weekly exercise sessions. All our staff love to get involved and you will always find music being played, themed food events, crafts and lots more.

Prior to Covid we had monthly trips out including to the seaside, pub lunches, garden centres and much more. We hope as restrictions ease we can do this again.
