Meet The Manager
Sylvia Adams is Registered Manager at Oaks Healthcare Ltd.
I started my work in the care industry in 2002 and have worked my way as a Healthcare Assistant in hospitals, nursing homes and in the community, to being a supervisor and a manager in care homes.
I completed my Second degree in MSc Adult Nursing in 2017 and still an active member with NMC.
I have gained an impressive ability to deal with physically and emotionally challenging patients and have successfully help most patients to regain, retain and develop skills necessary for independent living.
Delivering an outstanding person-centred care in clients own environment means everything to me. This stemmed from my personal background of having to care for my own relatives at home and from my professional background of observing prolong hospital stays.
"HOME SWEET HOME" is the saying. I make a difference by making the home environment the most comfortable place to live whilst receiving a great fundamental standards of care.
