NeeryVille Care – Pet Policy

Supporting You and Your Beloved Pets

At NeeryVille Care, we understand that pets are more than just animals, they’re companions, a source of joy, and part of the family. We proudly support clients who have pets, as long as it is safe for both the client and our care team.

Our approach ensures that compassionate pet support is offered in a way that aligns with CQC regulations, infection control protocols, and individual care plans.

How We Help With Your Pet:

Feeding –
We can help feed your pet as part of your daily routine, ensuring they’re nourished and cared for.

Sanitation –
Basic cleaning, such as changing pet bedding or litter trays, can be included in your care plan.

Walking –
If agreed in advance, our carers can assist with short walks for small pets (e.g., letting dogs into the garden or brief supervised outings).

Important Safeguards:

Risk Assessments

A risk assessment is carried out before care begins to identify any allergy, hygiene, or safety concerns. This helps us match the right carer to your needs and keep everyone safe.

Planned and Agreed Tasks Only

All pet-related duties must be clearly documented in the care plan and reviewed regularly. Carers will not provide tasks outside of their training or responsibility (e.g., administering medication to pets or transporting animals).

Infection Control

Carers follow strict hygiene standards, particularly around food preparation and shared spaces. Pet areas must be kept clean and separate from kitchen and care spaces where possible.

Respect for Carer Preferences

We aim to pair you with carers who are comfortable and confident around pets. If a carer has allergies or concerns, we will find a suitable alternative.

We know how important pets are to your wellbeing, and we're here to support that bond in a professional and respectful way.
