Meet The Manager

Ian Thompson is Managing Director at Christies Care Welwyn & Bishop's Stortford.

My name is Ian Thompson and I am Managing Director of Christies Care Welwyn & Bishop's Stortford. I live in Ware with my wife and our 3 young boys. After a 12-year career spent working in the financial services industry, I was searching for a more rewarding role with the opportunity to give back to my local community. Home care allows me to do just that and I take huge satisfaction from making a positive difference to people's lives.

Outside of work I enjoy watching all sports, particularly Newcastle United matches, despite the frustration that brings!

Christies were founded in Suffolk in 1987 and are one of just 3% of home care agencies nationwide to be rated as outstanding by the CQC. After initially building our reputation in live-in care we have grown over the years and now cater for all forms of care, from an occasional hour to round the clock.

All of our carers are required to complete our industry-leading training programme before starting work so you can rest assured that we have some of the best qualified carers in the country ready to care for you.

We pride ourselves on our reliability and ability to provide care at short notice and will work with you to develop a bespoke care plan so you can be sure you get exactly the care you need. We will guide you through the process from start to finish and will be on hand round the clock to answer any questions you may have.
