Situated in the historic town of Purley, Abbeyfield House offers high quality supported housing where our residents are encouraged to remain as independent as possible, with support when you need it from our caring, dedicated and professional team of staff.
Abbeyfield House has eight en-suite rooms and one double apartment, perfect for a couple. Our large, bright and airy conservatory leads onto our beautiful gardens with a summerhouse and comfortable benches -it's the ideal location for relaxing, whiling away the hours in the sunshine or catching up with old and new friends.
Meal times are an important time for the house, as we all come together and share lunch and dinner which is a great way to get to know other residents, sharing memories, talking and supporting each other.
If you're looking for ways to keep active there are many recreational facilities available including Purley Swimming Pool, Purley Sports Club, Surrey Health and Racquets Club, two golf clubs, a bowling alley and a cinema.
Abbeyfield House
Supported housing is for people who are still able to care for themselves and wish to remain independent. They most likely do not want the responsibilities of maintaining a house or flat or a garden but they are not ready to go into a care home. They may also like extra support for things like meals, cleaning and most of all they would like the company of others if they wish. Our supported housing offers that extra help: someone around to offer a bit of security in case they fall or feel unwell. Supported housing is not for people who need more dedicated care.

Abbeyfield Southern Oaks is a not-for-profit charity offering retirement living at a choice of locations in North-East Surrey.
In retirement, you should have the level of independence that’s appropriate for you, whilst everything is taken care of, leaving you free to enjoy the social life, activities, interests and community involvement that you choose.
We have three charming traditional houses located in Purley, Cheam & Sutton, that offer supported living with peace, comfort and safety as well as nourishing home-cooked meals, companionship when you want it and the reassurance that property maintenance and day-to-day chores are taken care of efficiently and professionally.
