Sonia Holland is Branch Manager at Helping Hands Home Care Lincoln.
As Branch Care Manager for Lincoln, it is my responsibility to lead both the branch and community team to ensure that the day-to-day operations of the branch run smoothly whilst adhering to CQC regulations and promoting Helping Hands' values and principles.
At Helping Hands, we foster a caring, compassionate environment to ensure our customers feel safe, secure and fully at ease with their carers. Our guarantee to every customer is that all of our carers have the right tools, knowledge and skillset to do their job, so that you can receive the exceptional care you need and deserve.
Sonia's career in care began when she left school, and she has since worked in the NHS, residential and nursing homes and with people living with learning difficulties and mental health conditions. She has worked in complex healthcare and specialised in paediatrics where she worked with children in care.
Helping Hands is a fully-managed care provider. This means all aspects of your care are included in the weekly cost and it is exclusively managed by your local team, as well as being completely regulated by the CQC. We only employ carers who are kind, empathetic, and passionate about helping others, and every carer receives our industry-leading training which equips them to provide specialist support to people with a wide variety of needs.
We’ve been caring for people in their own homes for three decades. Whether you need visiting care a few times a week or round-the-clock live-in care, the extensive benefits of staying at home for care include:
If you or a loved one have recently been discharged from hospital or are being discharged imminently, you may need a bit of extra help around the home until you’re back on your feet. A Helping Hands carer can help your recovery through assisting with physio, mobility and medication, as well as providing practical assistance around the home and discreetly aiding with personal care routines.
We also offer short-term respite care for those occasions when someone needs care on a temporary basis. Perhaps you’re planning a family holiday and are looking for a trustworthy care provider to look after your loved one in your absence. We believe that our flexible, continuous respite service is preferable to the stress and upheaval of moving into residential care for a few weeks.
It might be that you yourself are receiving care and would like a travelling companion to accompany you on your dream holiday whilst providing specialist support. Whatever your reason for needing short-term support, we’ll make sure your respite carer fully understands your requirements and preferences, so that we can help you enjoy the right type and level of care.
Our team in Lincoln can support you and your needs in the comfort of your own home covering Retford, Gainsborough, Market Rasen, Louth Nettleham, Saxilby, Sudbrooke, Welton, Birchwood, Cherry Willingham, Washingborough, Branston, and the surrounding areas.
