Autumna has invited care providers to evidence the infection control measures they are carrying out, above and beyond those laid out by the government, in order to keep residents, staff and visitors safe.

What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe

We are delighted our care home staff and residents are in the priority groups for the Covid-19 vaccinations, as this is the most vital tool in the fight against the virus. As of January 2021, every member of staff and resident at Country Court has been offered the first round of the Covid-19 vaccination. This means that all 33 of our care homes have started the vaccination process, with many having received the second injection already. For those unable to receive the vaccine initially (such as anyone who has tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 28 days), we are receiving regular visits from our local GPs to administer the first jab as soon as possible. This is the same for any new residents or staff in our homes, all of whom will be offered the vaccine as soon as they join us at Country Court.

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications

Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.

As specialist dementia care providers, our care home in London is designed to offer a thoroughly dementia-friendly environment while also providing excellent facilities that allow residents to maintain independence.

At Lyle House and all our specialised dementia care homes in the UK, we believe that providing quality, unbeatable care is much more than simply providing personal or health care. Our dementia care programmes are created to ensure residents can experience meaningful and precious moments during their time with us, with plenty of opportunities to reminisce and socialise.

Our staff are experts in residential, specialist dementia and respite care and their dedication and compassion are at the heart of what we do, offering company and support around the clock to ensure the safety, comfort and well-being of our residents.
