Kathy Burns is Care Home Manager at Cestria House Residential Home.
Kathy has been our registered manager for the past 25 years. She ensures that residents have a home-from-home feel; she provides excellent standards of care and focuses on individual’s life histories. She prides herself on being able to provide person-centred activities that meet the needs of all individuals within her care.
Our home caters for individuals with general residential and dementia residential needs. The emphasis is on individual care. Only very high calibre of staff are employed with a commitment to ongoing training and all staff have achieved NVQ qualifications.
Residents can relax in the privacy of their bedroom or in one of Cestria’s communal lounges which offer an informal space to chat with other residents, family or friends, and participate in activities and celebrations. Residents have space to socialise, relax and participate in activities throughout the home. There is lift access to all floors.
The home is staffed by dedicated trained carers who aim to offer residents the opportunity to enhance their quality of life. We provide a safe and comfortable environment to give support and stimulation to our residents.
