Tracie Scott is Home Manager at Cedar Court Dementia Care Home.
"I qualified as an adult nurse in 1999, and my career since then has always followed the palliative side of nursing. This is an area where excellence is expected; there are no second chances. Therefore, getting it right is absolutely paramount. My attitude towards nursing has never faltered. It remains something I am incredibly passionate about, and I believe in giving my best. Since becoming Home Manager at Cedar Court Dementia Care Home my heart has grown bigger, because it has had to. I have a much larger family now! The Cedar Court Dementia Care Home family gets bigger and bigger, with not just our amazing team of staff and our beautiful residents, but their relatives too. We really are part of the same family. I promise to always give my absolute best to all of you.”

Autumna has invited care providers to evidence the infection control measures they are carrying out, above and beyond those laid out by the government, in order to keep residents, staff and visitors safe.
What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe | ||
---|---|---|
We are doing everything we can to keep people safe. We have robust procedures in place to ensure we are following the latest government guidance. We have always had excellent stock levels of mask and other PPE to ensure we are never without. We were committed to only allowing admissions following a clear covid 19 test, and this has been our stance since the start of the pandemic on 12th March 2020. We ask all new admissions to isolate in their rooms initially to be extra sure that they do not have the virus or any symptoms of it. We train all staff in infection control and support them practically in following the new procedures in their roles. |

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications |
---|
Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
