Meet The Manager

Jan Lovett is the General Manager at Portobello Place.

I am lucky enough to have been working in the care profession since the early 1990s, starting as a night carer to fit in with family commitments and moving up the ladder until becoming a Home Manager in 2006. I have lived in and around the Chartridge and Chesham area for four decades and I am incredibly familiar with the surrounding area including Amersham, Great Missenden, Bovingdon, Berkhamsted, Tring and Beaconsfield. Leading a team to deliver Luxury Living and Exceptional Care is my mission at Portobello Place care home.

Here at Portobello Place residential care home in Buckinghamshire, our focus is on offering top quality care in a luxurious environment, and it’s all-inclusive too. Fancy getting your hair done? Fine dining with your family? Or heading out on a chauffeur-driven adventure? No problem at all, as here at our stunning care home near Amersham, it’s all included in a single weekly fee. There are no hidden extra costs here in our residential home complete with respite care and day care, making budgeting easier and life less stressful.

We want our residents to enjoy the good life in our private, independently-owned home – it’s safe to say there’s never a dull moment here! Although we’re new to Chartridge, Chesham and the Buckinghamshire area, we’re not new to care – as part of the Berkley Care Group, we have drawn on a wealth of experience to create a wonderfully luxurious yet comfortable and homely environment that surpasses expectations and delivers exactly what it promises.

There’s plenty of green space around here at Portobello Place, as our outdoor areas are all landscaped and become a vibrant display of colour in the spring and summer. If you fancy adding to the beauty, then please do! It’s your garden so why not join our gardening club and help shape the look for everyone to enjoy? When the weather is right, outdoor dining and entertainment is at the top of the list of activities – especially when it comes to afternoon tea – and we’re lucky enough to look out onto the Chilterns heading out towards Great Missenden.

The bistro, day rooms and bedrooms here at Portobello Place care home in Chartridge offer lovely views out onto the gardens – and we’re incredibly lucky to benefit from the wonderful green space of the Chartridge Park Golf Course right behind our home. Whether you come here for respite care or day care, or if you live here and receive residential care, outdoor living is a huge part of life here at our Buckinghamshire care home.
