Meet The Manager

Mirko Ridolfo is Care Home Manager at Blenheim House Care Home.

I was born in Enna, Italy. I left Home at 18 to do my nursing training in Verona where I achieved a Bachelor Degree in 2014 with the highest marks. After my graduation, I decided to move to the UK to improve my English skills and to explore the UK Nursing System which is known as one of the best nursing systems in Europe and in the World. In fact, Nursing as a science, was born in UK from Florence Nightingale. Florence was born in Florence, Italy from a British family and moved back to the UK early in her life to start then her nursing work from Rome to the Crimea.

I started working in the UK with Majesticare in a Care Home in Berkshire as a senior carer waiting for my registration to the Nursing and Midwife Council. I then worked as Nurse working my way up to Senior Nurse, Deputy Manager and now Home Manager!

I never planned to remain in the UK for such a long time, but I can now say that I am thoroughly enjoying it!

Helen Amos
Helen Amos
Head Housekeeper

Blenheim House has been my home since we opened our doors in November 2013 and Sampford House was before that.
I watched Blenheim House grow literally from the ground upwards and like the beautiful rooms and furnishings within it i fear i maybe fixtures and fittings now too after all these years!

My role here at Blenheim is Head Housekeeper, a role that like many others brings many challenges, occasional hurdles to overcome but is ultimately a lot of fun and very rewarding.

I am very lucky to lead a team of amazing Housekeepers who make my job so much fun and are very much my extended family. As a team we will always strive to do our very best for our residents, their families and the staff in whatever way we can.
Weather you are taking the time to read this because you may make Blenheim your home or because you are hoping to join our team, let be the first to say...Welcome to Blenheim House! Welcome to the family!
