Andrea Blades is Care Home Manager at Brooke House.
Andrea has been a registered nurse for over thirty years. In that time, she has worked in the care profession within both the private and public sectors and gained experience and knowledge that she shares on a daily basis with her team. Andrea is passionate about the care of her residents and promotes person-centred care. Andrea’s team strives to provide a safe and dignified environment for all residents to enjoy.
As Brooke House is a specialist dementia residential / nursing care service, particular attention is paid to create a friendly environment using the University of Sterling’s model.
Consisting of 50 beds, each room has its own en-suite bathroom, fitted furniture, LCD television, interactive alarm system and mechanised bed. Assisted bath / shower rooms help aid the residents’ quality of life.
Internet access is available throughout as well as multi lift facilities. Lounges and dining areas are extremely spacious and dementia friendly, with breakout areas as well as private quiet rooms for residents and families.
