Julie Tyler is Registered Manager at The Gables Care Home.
Julie Tyler began her career in care as a domiciliary carer in 2006 after deciding it was time for a career change, and she says she has never looked back.
In 2013 Julie moved to residential care and began working her way up to deputy manager, and then registered manager of The Gables in 2016.
She says that working in this industry allows us to 'Touch people's lives and make a difference to them even in the darkest of times'.
The Gables Care Home is situated in the charming market town of Chatteris. The Gables provides person-centred care for up to 49 elderly residents, and has been rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission in our latest inspection.
The home has also been recognized as one of the Top 20 care homes in the East of England based on reviews from residents and their loved ones.
The Gables is beautiful inside and out, with private courtyard gardens for our residents to enjoy, as well as a number of communal areas including large lounges, dining room and relaxing quiet spaces.

Regular activities include flower arranging, art and craft sessions, quiz nights, and tea parties as part of our regular activities schedule which is on display for all to see. As well as fun events in the home, entertainers often come and visit us too. We have recently been visited by the Salvation Army, animal therapists Zoolab, and many talented musicians and singers. |
