Brendoncare Otterbourne Hill supports individuals and couples facing the challenges of living day-to-day in later life, offering reassurance, support and flexibility. The spacious site between Chandler's Ford and Winchester offers three interconnected services:

Otterbourne Court: a care home in Hampshire providing personalised nursing and dementia care, as well as respite support.

Otterbourne Mews: dementia-friendly apartments built to a high standard for couples or individuals living with dementia.

Otterbourne Club: a community hub where residents and local people can enjoy a range of facilities, activities and social opportunities.

Brendoncare is a registered charity, dedicated to improving the quality of life for older people through our 10 care homes and 90 friendship and wellbeing clubs. Brendoncare Otterbourne Hill is designed to a high standard to provide support for individuals and couples with nursing and dementia care needs.

The Brendoncare Care for Life promise ensures that once residents are accepted in one of our homes they will not have to leave due to lack of funds. Care for Life is a charitable third party top-up* payment that can support those residents who may have been with us for a while and whose own funds have depleted to the threshold set by the Local Authority’s Social Services. At that point social services will start to contribute to the cost of care. We fund about 20% of residents in this way so, in order to help with our own financial planning, we ask residents to complete a financial assessment before moving in to one of our homes. For residents and family members the Care for Life promise often provides enormous relief and reassurance.

*Top-up payments are the difference that needs to be ‘topped-up’ between what the public sector will pay and a care home’s full fees. Third party top-up payments are payments made by a third party, such as a family member or a charity, such as Brendoncare, through our Care for Life promise. Social Services will assess and still require residents to make an affordable contribution.

Our experience over the last 35 years has shown that these smaller households create a lovely family-like atmosphere. At Otterbourne Court, each household includes a selection of communal areas and facilities where you can socialise with other residents.
