Meet The Manager

Clare Leonard is Care Home Manager at Appleby.

We provide care of the highest quality for the elderly on a permanent or respite basis, in lovely comfortable surroundings. Our team of experienced care professionals constantly undergo training to provide outstanding care and support to all of our residents.

There are two units within Appleby Care Home. The ground floor and part of the upper floor make up the mixed dementia unit. There is also a specialist male-only service on the upper floor for male service users who may have behaviours that are challenging.

Our philosophy is simple; we want everyone to enjoy life to the full. We never forget that all our residents are individuals and we treat them with dignity, privacy and respect while offering freedom of choice and as much independence as possible.

I’d love to show you around the home. If you would like a tour or wish to discuss any aspect of elderly care with me, please telephone the home to make an appointment.

Our purpose-built care home in North Shields offers a safe and secure environment promoting independence and wellbeing. We provide excellent nursing care and specialist dementia (EMI) care in purpose-built, spacious surroundings. With unique environments designed to promote mental and physical wellbeing, exciting activities, and a real community spirit, we are ready to safely welcome new residents to our home in the heart of North Shields.
