Maxine Calverley is Home Manager at Sweyne Court Care Home.

Maxine has worked in the care sector for over 19 years, starting as HCA and then Deputy Manager, where she supported children and young adults with learning disabilities. She started working at Sweyne Court in 2012 and progressed to Deputy Manager & now Home Manager. Maxine holds an NVQ level 3 in Health & Social Care and is working towards her Level 5 management award. Maxine is a Champion for Dementia & Dignity and holds a distinction in End of Life and Equality & Diversity and is adult safeguarding lead.Award Winner in 2014 and 2018 for outstanding contribution in the Essex region, for going above and beyond supporting residents to achieve their goals and commitment and dedication for continuously striving to improve the home. Maxine was a part of team who won the award for Dementia Care at the care home Uk awards in 2019.

An award-winning, bright and cosy home with a warm and friendly atmosphere, Sweyne Court is close to the bustling Essex town of Rayleigh, just 7 miles from Southend-on-Sea, with lovely grounds and delightful views of the surrounding countryside.

As a family-owned care home, we take a nurturing, attentive and person-centred approach to the care we provide, offering a range of long-term and respite care options for people who need residential, residential dementia, end of life and daycare.

Our hand-picked and professional team, many of whom live in the local areas of Rayleigh, Benfleet and Hockley, deliver care with respect, kindness and attention to detail – providing a high quality of life for the residents and peace of mind for their families.
