Autumna has invited care providers to evidence the infection control measures they are carrying out, above and beyond those laid out by the government, in order to keep residents, staff and visitors safe.
What we're doing to keep residents & visitors safe | ||
---|---|---|
We take no shortcuts when it comes to safety measures, particularly concerning COVID-19. All surfaces are regularly disinfected, staff are highly trained and experienced in sanitisation and the practices of infection control. The highest amount of care is put into our safety and hygiene protocols. Our staff undergo regular testing for COVID-19, and we operate a stringent testing policy for new residents. Any new resident is required to take a coronavirus test – a negative result means they can move in immediately and receive in-room care for 14 days, and a positive result requires them to stay at home for a further 14 days before moving in. We keep on top of our training regularly. We have infection control leaders who carry out training with our staff and we complete infection control audits monthly. Staff have access to COVID tests at home to prevent any potential outbreaks. |

Connectivity for resident testing, monitoring & communications |
---|
Infection control and the safety of both residents and staff often requires quarantine measures and the isolation of care home residents. To test, monitor and allow residents to communicate with relatives, the prevalence of room-level connectivity within the home is becoming increasingly relevant.
