Meet The Manager

Karen Temple is General Manager at Rush Court.

I started my nurse training in 1979. After qualifying I worked at Frimley Park Hospital on the Day and Emergency ward. In 2000 I decided to do my conversion to RMN, and qualified in 2001, where I continued to work on a medium secure ward for the priory. I left the priory to work for the NHS as ward sister for a dementia ward.

I have been managing care homes since 2007, working with small family businesses and corporate companies, including commissioning two care homes.

Although my career has been very diverse, working in the NHS as a staff nurse, and ward sister, I have always been drawn back towards the older person, people living with dementia, and palliative care.

I am very passionate about the delivery of care that is given in a care home, and I firmly believe that life should not stop because someone moves into the care home residence, therefore everyone living in a care home should be supported and respected of their preferences and wishes.

Rush Court is an elegant, Queen Anne style house standing in its own grounds amidst the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside just outside Wallingford and offers a home from home for discerning guests who appreciate the comfort, quality and exceptional care that we offer.
