Liz Morritt is Care Manager at Radfield Home Care Harrogate, Wetherby & North Yorkshire.

Liz has 20 years of experience working in the care sector in a variety of roles including volunteer, support worker, senior support worker and in 2006 became the registered manager of a residential home for adults with learning disabilities. This position afforded Liz the opportunity to really make a difference to the residents and staff by ensuring they were at the heart of everything they did.

Liz joined Radfield Home Care Harrogate, Wetherby and North Yorkshire in March 2018 as she felt it was time for a new challenge and had heard very positive feedback about Radfield.

Liz explains, “My aim is to support the growth of the business whilst maintaining the ‘family values’ that Radfield Home Care pride themselves on, and continuing to develop a highly skilled staff team who deliver high quality, personalised care.

Outside of work Liz enjoys cooking, spending time with her partner and their daughter and catching up with friends and family.

Matthew holds a vast amount of experience in the care sector. After qualifying in 2012 as an Occupational Therapist, he has worked in a variety of community based roles in both the NHS and private sector and more recently has been the manager of Harrogate and Ripon’s community nursing and therapy teams.

Not only is Matthew a health care professional, but he is also a proud husband of a registered nurse. Health care is their family business, and Matthew is not only passionate about providing quality client centred care, but also dedicated to providing a market leading workplace for carers.

“A particularly fond memory of mine is about 10 years ago, when I was caring for children and adults with complex learning and physical disabilities. We went for a trek through the woods to the local mud pit for a ‘bath’. What a fantastic experience for our clients, with fun memories they will hold forever!

The Importance Of Meal Times

Maintaining good nutrition and hydration is extremely important. Carers can prepare all types of meals for our clients. This may be simply heating a ready meal and cooking some vegetables to accompany it or cooking a full meal depending on the visit time available and the client's wishes. We can liaise with clients and families to plan meals, do the shopping and prepare the meals in the clients home
